Adventure Aquarium
-Se the Liberty bell
-Se independence hall
Had the whole day off today! Finally two days of semester to do things. I even got to sleep in this morning. I was so slow when I woke up so I weren't ready to leave the house until 12.30 but it felt so good! Later in the afternoon I met Sandra at the train station to go to the Adventure Aquarium in New Jersey. We had to take the train down town, switch to the subway to go to a really bad neighborhood that was really scary on the other side of the Ben Franklin bridge, then we hade to switch to a trolley to go to the aquarium. The aquarium was big with a lot of scary fishes and sharks (!). Well as most of you already know, I'm super afraid of sharks and I really do NOT like things that live in the water so I was super proud of my self to actually pet a shark today. Yes it was a tiny and harmless shark but for me that was a big progress. I even went in to a shark tunnel and took a lot of pictures, so no I didn't close my eyes like when I was at Sea World where my mom had to drag me out because I was to afraid to look (and I was 16 years old). The best thing at the aquarium was not the shark though, it was the hippos. They are massive! I could never in a million years understand the size of them until today, they are a lot bigger than they look like on TV!
After we took the scary trolley and subway back to our beautiful and not so dangerous (as it seems after being in the really bad neighborhood) city, Philadelphia, we went for some sightseeing while looking for a place to eat dinner. We went past the Independence hall and the Liberty bell so now i can check that of my Bucket list too.
